About IT Governance
IT is essential to manage transactions,
information and knowledge necessary to initiate and sustain economic
and social activities. These activities increasingly rely on globally
cooperating entities to be successful. In many organizations, IT
is fundamental to support, sustain and grow the business.
While many organizations recognize the potential benefits
that technology can yield, the successful ones also understand and
manage the risks associated with implementing new technologies.

COBIT®
stands for Control Objectives for Information and
related Technology and is increasingly accepted internationally
as good practice for control over information, IT and related risks. It
is a governance and control framework with guidance for IT controls that
focuses on "what needs to be achieved" rather than "how
to achieve." Its guidance enables an enterprise to implement effective
governance over IT that is pervasive and intrinsic throughout the enterprise.
COBIT®,
as a generally applicable and accepted de facto standard for good IT security
and control practices, provides a reference framework for management,
users, and IS audit, control and security practitioners.
Currently the COBIT®
courses are under revision and we will
update you soon with the latest information.
